Office Manager, Sotheby's Old Master Paintings
As the Office Manager of the Old Master Paintings department I was responsible for the preparation and smooth operation of the sales (4-6 per year).
This included:
Make sure that objects arrived on time
Ascertain that import and export regulation were met
Ascertian that National Heritage regulations were met
Coordinate the production of the sales catalogues
Check inventory on a regular basis
Coordinate the team of experts' assistants
Provide client service and VIP client liaison
Calculate and arrange payment after sale
Coordinate post-sale
Arrange shipping
Various: telephone bidding, arrangement of visits, personal delivery etc.
